op1Daniel Patiño Flor (1979), Guayaquil-Ecuador.

In 2002 Daniel wins the photo contest Concurso de Fotografía Digital Sony de Panamá. Two years later he starts his career as photojournalist at the national newspaper Expreso of Ecuador as a staff photographer. In 2007 he moves to Spain in order to study a Master in Photojournalism at Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. In Barcelona he also launches his first individual photo project, Barcelona Latina. In 2011 he receives two awards in the Iberoamerican photojournalism contest Picture of the Year Latinamerica (POY-Latam). In the same year he is chosen to be part of the first edition of the photo exhibition Fotografía a Cielo Abierto in Quito in Ecuador. In 2012 he is chosen to publish his work in a special edition about ecuadorian photojournalism by the magazine Anaconda and he also takes part in the second edition of Fotografía a Cielo Abierto. In 2014 he was invited to be part with his work in the book “Ecuatorianos Retratos”.

After having finished his studies in Barcelona Daniel moves to Falun in Sweden with his wife where he worked as a photojournalist (vik)  for the newspapers Dalarnas Tidningar (DT). Currently he live in Örebro and works as a photojournalist (vik)  for the newspapers Nerikes Allehanda (NA)
