This is the first selection of a work in process “photo exercise” that I started a few months ago and that I called: “Getting to Know Dalarna” (“Träffar Dalarna” in swedish). I came to Sweden in may of 2011 from Barcelona with my wife and we decided to live in the beautiful town of Falun in the Dalarna province of Sweden and my idea for continuing my carrier here was very simple: I want to discover this new culture where I´m going to live and I want to do it through photojournalism. So after several months of studying swedish and working in other things than photography I finally found a job like a photographer and in one regional newspaper. There I met incredible people that helped me very much to develop my work and to understand the culture of Dalarna and to start this exercise. To all of them: I have them a lot of respect and appreciation. So after several months of photographing the province of Dalarna, I’ve now put together some of the best moments that I have experienced (so far) in Getting to know Dalarna.
